Natural Attachment

I am around you frequently

so naturally

your beauty captures me

So how is it that naturally

I can detach from you emotionally?

My need to see you

Be with you

And feel you

Increases with great urgency

So naturally my love for you

Steadily increases too

Whatever I set out to do

I find my thoughts roam back to you

So how is it that naturally we can fight what has to be?

Attraction becomes a variable

Attachment becomes inevitable

Feelings far from what seems sensible

All else is incomprehensible

Hard to turn back

Hard not to act

Hard to fight that

Which simply is

Emotions will not give

Any mercy

As much as we rehearse the

Line that says that we're "just friends"

The truth is that the rule gets stretched and bends

Especially when we are holding hands

An energy passes through and connects us two

So what are we to do

But submit to "me and you"

And become "we"

Naturally.
